Dear Friends,

A warm hello and welcome to the very first post of The Green Broadcast. This little project has been brewing for a while. And like a good pot of teh tarik, it has finally found its moment to be poured and shared.

Why We Started Green Up Singapore?

At Green Up Singapore, our mission is simple. We want to show that sustainability is not only for policy makers or large companies. It is something every person can bring into daily life, right at home, even in small HDB flats and tiny kitchens where the rice cooker and air fryer already compete for space.

Sustainability Has Challenges, but Also Possibilities!

Let us be honest. Sustainable living in Singapore has its limits. Not everyone has a backyard for growing vegetables. Not everyone can buy a composting machine that costs more than a year of kopi sessions. But these limits do not stop us. In fact, they often push us to be creative.

At Green Up Singapore, we believe that simple actions matter. Even small steps can reshape the way we live and help us care for our environment.

My journey with Green Up Singapore began with a simple realisation. If our little red dot keeps moving at the pace it is, our future generations may inherit more heat than hope. I wanted to do something about that, not with grand speeches, but with everyday actions that feel real and human. I am not here as a perfect eco champion. I am here as someone who believes in small, sincere steps and the magic they create when we take them together. I have seen how a single thriving plant can change the energy of a home, and I believe communities can bloom in the same way. Green Up Singapore is my invitation to all of us to grow that future with a bit of humour, a bit of heart, and the courage to care. I am here for you because I am one of you, trying to make sure our children inherit more shade trees than worries.
